American Young Georgians

The American Young Georgians is an association of young adults under the age of forty who appreciate the best of British art, architecture, and design. We are the young members of the American Friends of the Georgian Group, and we too work with The Georgian Group in London to foster the appreciation and preservation of architecture, art, and design from the reigns of George I to George IV in England. We work together with the AFGG but we are also our own entity, organizing our own relaxed gatherings and events and getting together to network, socialize, and have fun.

For more information, contact the co-leaders of the group, Lansing Moore and Hillary Mazanec, at afgg.young.georgians@gmail.com.

Past events include:

  • Walking tour of classical architecture in Clinton Hill and Fort Greene, Brooklyn
  • Croquet outing to Greenwich, Connecticut with the Greenwich Croquet Club and the New England Society
  • Private studio tour of EverGreene Architectural Arts
  • Private tour and picnic on the grounds of the Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum
  • Co-hosted Drinks & Décor at the New York Design Center with the Royal Oak Foundation
